Led strategic communications for a cross-disciplinary research project to build coastal resilience in Crisfield, Maryland. My interactive maps, engaging press releases, and informative webpages built trust between EPA researchers and members of the community.

Worked as a science writer for the Institute for Interdisciplinary Data Sciences, covering topics such as genomic duplication in sagebrush to adapt to climate change, a new AI-powered trail camera, and the role of the microbiome in Type 2 Diabetes.

As part of this student-run policy advocacy group at Georgetown University, I researched and advocated for expanding medical education opportunities in underserved areas. I created public maps and outreach materials for a policymaker audience.

Conducted a survey of 50 scientists to get a feel for their experience working with journalists. Found that journalists contact scientists in labs that values communication and public engagement much more frequently than unaffiliated researchers.

Presented an informative overview of cleanup efforts and environmental challenges at the Hanford Site in the state of Washington at the Nuclear Security Summit

Conducted user experience surveys for users of EPA's exposure assessment website. Used advanced Excel, Google Analytics, and Adobe Illustrator to create content that enhance accessibility.
